Development of a scientific congress report from an international oncology congress
One of the world’s largest multinational biotechnology companies.
Every year, practice-changing data are shared at global congresses. However, not every pharmaceutical company employee who needs to be aware of the latest data can attend these congresses. Further, there are thousands of abstracts, posters and orals presented, making it challenging for an individual to easily find all the new data pertinent to their work. Our client wished to ensure their medical teams across the word had rapid and easy access to the latest scientific data emerging from an international oncology congress (ESMO). The format needed to allow the reader to quickly find and understand the key new data relevant to their field and also the impact of the data on the client’s therapeutics.
Aspire Scientific attended the ESMO Congress for three consecutive years. Each year, we developed a post-congress PowerPoint slide deck that summarised the key oral sessions and posters of interest. The summaries in this deck provided a concise distillation of the main findings and, critically, the implications of the data to the client’s drugs. The slide deck was designed to be easily navigable and provided links to the abstract, full presentations (where available), and other useful resources. As well as being easy to use and informative, a key aspect of this project was speed; the final version was available for medical teams to use within one week of the congress finishing. This ensured that the client’s teams were rapidly informed of the data presented at the congress and the implications for them.
