The client

A global pharmaceutical company.

The challenge

Our client received positive Phase III trial results, providing sufficient evidence to file for approvals, but had little published information and had not yet agreed on a unified approach to optimally communicating the results of their clinical trial programme across each of its regions. Our challenge was to capture the key observations from both the preclinical and clinical development process and help to develop a scientific platform upon which consistent future communications could be built. A successful scientific platform must distil observed evidence into robust, scientifically accurate statements that also capture the nuance of the individual drug characteristics and its place in the therapy area landscape.

The solution

The team at Aspire Scientific helped our client to develop and roll-out their scientific platform through a four stage process:

  1. Initial drafting of topline scientific statements based on the clinical trial programme to stimulate discussion and facilitate prompt focus on scientific platform development in a limited time
  2. Workshop discussion between Aspire Scientific and key stakeholders in the clients medical, publications and med affairs teams to refine and agree upon statements
  3. Development of a key lexicon guide to support understanding of key concepts and facilitate use of the platform
  4. Compilation of a highly interactive and easy to navigate document suitable for access on both desktop use, and also remotely via iPad and mobile devices.

In this manner, we ensured the company had a robust and approved set of core educational statements suitable to guide accurate and consistent communication going into submission and approval stages in each of their regions.
