The Aspire Way

Aspire Scientific was founded by experienced
medical writers with shared values.

After experiencing life in the medical communications (MedComms) industry, we quickly figured out what kind of agency we wanted to create. Our aim is to be the fairest and most considerate medical writing and communications agency to work for.

In turn, this allows us to attract and retain the most talented people in the industry, give them the freedom to deliver outstanding work, and establish successful, long-standing partnerships with our clients.

This genuine commitment to our people and to our clients is at the core of our business.

The ability to work truly flexibly

  • Our team can work from home or office and fulfil their hours when they want.
  • Contracted hours can be changed easily, without red tape.

The expectation of true work–life balance

  • We don’t expect our people to work over their contracted hours, and we actively encourage everyone to stick to this wherever possible.
  • On those rare occasions where working over hours is unavoidable, we award additional holiday for the extra hours worked. There is also the option to sell this back for 1.5x salary.

Up to 46 days' holiday for new full-time employees

  • 28 days paid holiday (+ 8 bank holidays).
  • Additional leave can be purchased (up to 10 days per year).
  • We award additional leave for long service (>2 years) annually, up to a maximum of 5 extra days.

Involvement in the company

  • We believe that our people are what make Aspire great – so we involve everyone in the decisions about the business. For example, we distribute management team agendas and minutes to the whole team for review and invite feedback every time. For larger decisions, we make these a focus of company meetings, where we gather feedback from the whole team. We encourage everyone to have an active voice in the company, and this is only ever a conversation away.
